Dedicated to my mother, Fredna Louise Atkins who died after a courageous battle with cancer on oct. 13, 2007.

This is my first mothers day without my mom. I always gave her flowers and roses were her favorite. I wanted to do something for mama so I wrote this poem for her. If this is your first mothers day without your mother I hope this poem will bring you comfort.

This poem was written in honor of my mother, who died on Oct.13, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. Mom had a collection of angels that my family and I donated to the John and Joan Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. These angels and this poem are displayed in her curio in the chapel in loving memory of our mother. During my mothers' illness she was blessed to experience the love and care of some very special angels.
