Poetry by Jacquelyn Upton
The only escape may be deadly.
No matter where you see a Red Rose
Whether it’s in a store or wild and free
You always see it withering
There’s never a chance to grieve un
I'll be the one to call you baby at night
I'll be the one to stand by your side and fight
I'll be the one you will grow to love
I will be the one y
Glittering eyes, full of smiles
Happy and proud all the way around
Never shad a tear, never scream out in fear
Never shown any signs of disappointm
I want to write about how you make me feel
How every time I see your face I know that you’re real
I can’t describe the feeling you always raise in
I wrote this after the loss of my grandmother. She suffered many years with cancer until it finally took her away.
