so I've never told anyone this before but for 5 years now I've been sexually assaulted by my uncle and my step dad, this poem helped me cope with the problems

so I wrote this poem to my boyfriend and gave it to him on our 3 month ann. and he looked at me and had tears in his eyes. he told me "babe I won't hurt your heart, I promise." then he smiled his amazing smile and gave me a promise ring :D
