Funeral Poems for Family
One does not leave a funeral in the same way that he has come. He cannot help but have death on his mind. He cannot help but be aware that such is the end of all life. He may look at himself and have a new awareness that his body will not last forever. These thoughts are ones that humans must face and find a way to deal with. Some believe that the death is only the beginning of the next great mystery and the soul is eternal. Others take a practical view that death is all there is. One leaves a funeral with thoughts of life and its fragility on his mind.

In Memory of My Dad, Five Minutes
In Memory of My Dad Edward
If I only had five minutes the day you passed away,
I would have had time to tell you all the things I needed to say.
I never got to tell you how much you ..........

Child's Letter From Heaven
Mommy please don't cry for me
Tell Daddy to not be sad
Tell my brother and sister
To remember all the fun we had
Tell Grandma I'll miss her cookies
and Grandpa’s stories ..........

Tell Grandma I'll miss her cookies
and Grandpa’s stories ..........

I never got a chance to say goodbye
And now when I think of you all I do is cry

One with which I shall never part
The things you taught me the world ..........
And now when I think of you all I do is cry

Dear Dad
Dear Dad, We love you,
We miss you so much
Your love and your kindness
Your soft gentle touch
If we had to live life over
We would choose you once more
If it meant losing you ..........

Your love and your kindness
Your soft gentle touch
If we had to live life over
We would choose you once more
If it meant losing you ..........
Dad, I Promise In Your Memory
I promise to carry on your contagious smile.
The same one that would light up a room the minute you walked in.
I promise to laugh and never take myself to seriously.

I just thought I’d say
I love you and goodbye

When My Son Passed Away
