Mourning Poem

Next Poem >>

I wrote this poem after my grandpa passed away. I was so sad when I lost him and this poem explains it all.

Grandpa

The other day I lost you
How will I ever make it through?

I had to watch you be in all that pain.
It just made me want to go in sane.

Watching you lay there made me cry
And now all I want to do is wonder why.

Why did you have to go?
I miss you don't you know?

Every night I kiss you good night
Wishing everything could be alright.

I wish I could join you up above
So I could still feel your love.

I know you were proud of me
That's how it will always be.

You went out of the way to help anyone
You were always the great one.

I hope someday we will meet again
So I can tell you that you were a great man.

I hope he is treating you right up there
I will always be right here.

One day we will meet again
I will just have to wait until then.

I miss you
I love you

Hopefully I will make it through.
