my grandpa died last December, it was a slight shock to all. we loved him so very much.
A December To Remember
Across the years, I can recall,
my grandpa one way best of all.
Sitting on the sofa watching sports,
working on a crossword of sorts.
"put some socks on" he always said,
as he tucked us into bed.
he asked "aren't you cold?"
at the time we just thought he was grumpy and old.
But looking back at his life
it showed he cared about his family and wife.
he always listen to polka in the car
I always thought it was rather bizarre.
Endless knowledge, he always spat out.
he loved us all, without a doubt.
on that horrible Thursday night in December,
my grandpa we will always remember.
