A woman is losing the fight against alcoholism. Those in her life the love her implore her to fight back.

The drink has made you tired,
Much older than your days.
Childhood memories haunt me,
What will we fight about today.
The towels weren’t hung up,
Their sopping on the floor.
Mostly it’s your liquid dreams,
That makes your temper sore.
I try to think of good times,
To forget about the pain.
Of shattered glass at 3am,
Police lights in the rain.
I hope one day you’ll realize,
How much we cherish you.
The tie that binds is always there,
No matter what you do.
So let this be a lesson,
Next time you want a drink.
We need you in out lives,
I hope it makes you think.
