What are Feeds and What is RSS?

What Does this Image mean?

Feeds are a way for Websites and Blogs to distribute their content by alowing visitors to subscribe to regular updates, delivered automatically via a feed reader, or in some cases email.

Why should I subscribe to a feed?
Imagine if instead of visiting each of your favorite websites each day to see if anything new has been published, you could instead visit one website and view all new material published from all your favorite websites within this one website. This one website is your Feed Reader.

There are many Feed Readers, we at Family Friend Poems recommend Google Reader. (You do need a Google Account to set it up.)

This video explains what feeds are and why you might want to use them.
