Thanksgiving Poem

Thanksgiving

Off goes the morning alarm,
All of us to the bathroom swarm
We get ready to go
Bernie's so slow
Until at last we pack into the car.

Along the Jersey Turnpike we roll
Fighting traffic, wind and the cold.
The ride is too long
'Cause the directions are wrong
& to ask for the way is too bold.

Off we drive to the East
My husband turning into a beast.
My whole family is there
And with them we will share
All this Thanksgiving food-what a feast!
