To a friend confronted with eviction from her rental, now bank owned. She and her two sons rebuilding after a contentious divorce.
On Moving On

Let not impede
the caterpillar your butterfly?
A cocoon separates
you from yourself.
Trans-mortification concludes
in an energetic disruption
of things familiar.
Tip your wings
on gentle breeze,
and sore the rising thermal
of life anew.
