Rosie And The Bright Prince

©  Ruben Stemphelet

It was a cold winter morning and I spot thru the window
a single red rose that was born during the night,
it looked sad, petals pointing down onto the ground, clear tears emerged from it.
Mid morning invited the sun and it look at the rose,
she lifted her petals took at look at this shiny bright prince
and without hesitation she undress herself to reveal the true beauty of her red petals.
The bright prince seemed hypnotized with Rosie
and wept the last remaining tears away from her.
Midday come and the prince escalated to the middle of the his throne,
Rosie follow him all day long, she couldn’t stop smiling.
In spite the immense distance that separated nature united in love.
They saw each other almost every day,
she cried every morning when her bright prince wasn’t there.
