Environment Poem

Next Poem >>

Now and then an "Earth summits" or some other environmental meet takes place but end up with no concrete solutions - makes me feel exasperated. So I wrote this poem to share my concern about our planet - which is in peril and needs us to act in unison to save our only home.

Ruins Of The Future

©  Vipul
360 degrees, climate change is chanted
But no plan(t) planted
Suits and ties from all over come to debate
And debate they end in –
But all leave satisfied!

Will there ever be restitution
for this retribution?
None to lift us...
From the realms of ruins
And away from our sins.

Now - The clout of 'big dreamers'
will carve a future dreamt by et al
But will we be left to
See it, at all?
