There is nothing more special than our children,
who touch our lives in so many ways,
their smiles, love, laughter and tears,
which we experience throughout the years.
They may travel down long dusty, rough roads.
Their hearts may be burdened with heartache,
but a mother's hand is always there
reaching out to lead them back on the right path.
We may not always feel they listen or make the right decisions,
but a mother always stands behind them,
giving them encouragement and reassurance.
There is nothing more special than a mother's love.
A child may not feel a parent understands or feels the pain they feel,
but whenever our children hurt, we hurt.
So when it seems things couldn't get any worse,
a mother's hand is always there waiting to be held.
