Husband Poem

This poem was hanging on the bird's neck that I gave my husband on our first anniversary. The bird I named Capitan!

Capitan

Capitan! Capitan! Call me Capitan!
I cry not! Mighty and fears no one!
hold on to me, your fears shall all be gone!
Come! Sing with me, such is a great fun!

Capitan! Capitan! I am your Capitan!
Let’s fly to the north, east, south, and west!
See all the wonders, feel more than blessed!
go try them all, and gather all the best!

Come! Fly back with me, I am your Capitan!
I’ll bring you back to your wife and dear son!
For in all the places you and I have gone'
It is home, and them alone, you have in mind!
