You were a loving dad
Who did everything to see me
But as I've grown
I now understand that
You can't be bothered
You don't ring when you say you will
You don't remember my birthday
You forget that I exist
I try to remember the good times
But they are so short
the bad floods into my mind
You are more interested in her and the boys
You were a loving dad
Who did everything to see me
But as I've grown
I now understand that
You can't be bothered
I grow up thinking I've done something wrong
But with each passing day
I realize it's not me
It's you
Changing
I don't know why you are changing but I feel left out
You were a loving dad
Who did everything to see me
But as I've grown
I now understand that
You can't be bothered
Ever since I moved up north
You haven't spent any time thinking about me
Everything you say I don't believe until it happens
You say you love me
But
Is that a lie to? How am I meant to know when you can't be bothered
To pick up the phone when you say you will
You were a loving dad
Who did everything to see me
But as I've grown
I now understand that
You can't be bothered
You've changed so much
I don't like what I see
A dad who's not willing
With a daughter who's crying
You will never understand the pain I am going through
But there's one question
Why did you change?
You were a loving dad
Who did everything to see me
But as I've grown
I now understand that
You can't be bothered
You are now a dad
Who doesn't care
Your not willing to try
What am I meant to do
Just remember it's not me
It's you!
Who did everything to see me
But as I've grown
I now understand that
You can't be bothered
You don't ring when you say you will
You don't remember my birthday
You forget that I exist
I try to remember the good times
But they are so short
the bad floods into my mind
You are more interested in her and the boys
You were a loving dad
Who did everything to see me
But as I've grown
I now understand that
You can't be bothered
I grow up thinking I've done something wrong
But with each passing day

It's you
Changing

Just remember it's not me
It's you!
