Father and Child Poem

Dad this is for you, just know I have faith in you

Where Did You Go?

© Brittany W.
I wonder if you will ever know
The pain you put inside everyone you know
They miss the old you
Trust me I do too
The glaze I see in your eyes
I see all through you, all the betrays and lies
Hopefully one day you will see
All the hurt you put inside of me
You know I am still here waiting
But mostly crying
All the bad memories I have of you
I hate to admit it but they are all true
Just push, push all those things away
all the things that have made you this way
One day I have faith that you will wake up
And you will finally be a grown up
Finally I can have a dad that I have always dreamed about
A father I could never live without
