Father and Child Poem

For a girl to have a loving father in her life is an awesome gift.

Daddy's Girl

© Katherine E. Cunningham

A little hand wrapped around a big finger
With brown eyes looking up
A kiss for scrapped knee to be made all better
A scared look to a reassuring face on the first day of school
A worried look to an excited girl on graduation day
Teary eyes wiped away by a big hug as she walked away
A smile as she drove away with the comfort of knowing
She’d always be
Daddy's girl
