Falling in Love Poem

A surprise happened. It was indeed the most surprising surprise in my life. Yes, it's falling in love. In this poem I was compared to a leaf. The girl was compared to the air. You'll get it if you'll have the patience to read my art.

Dan's Leaf

© Dan Cunanan
I made a graceful goodbye
To the innocent hours in the clock
Like a crispy and dry leaf
Removed the glue in its branch

My heart pounded like a drum
And my head slipped from a love’s wetness
Dan's leaf falling, it’s no superman
The tempting crust magnetized it

Her face was sparkling on my sight
Numbness refrained me from a lot
A forceful east wind drove Dan's leaf
Continuously directing to conflicting lanes

I was in my own still world
She was the most fragrant perfume
The air escorted Dan's leaf to wherever
As they danced with eternal poise
