Falling in Love Poem

A few years ago I started writing the first few lines, then a year later I found a really good friend who has been and is my BEST friend. I started to realize that I had a crush on him but didn't want to ruin our friendship.

Do You Love Me?

It's no joke,
what I say to you.
Every word that falls from lips
is absolutely true.

It's no lie,
it's no fib.
It's how I feel
deep within.

Inside my heart
burns a never-ending flame.
If I tell you that I love you,
will our friendship stay the same?

I wonder this,
all the time.
If I were yours,
and you were mine.

Is this true,
is this a dream?
Is this at all what it seems?

Do you love me?
'Cause I love you.
Are you lying,
or telling the truth?

Is this how you really feel?
Is this really real?
Am I dreaming?
Or should I believe it?
