Family Death Poem

My 2 grandbabies must deal with the loss of their daddy while growing up. IN MEMORY OF: Curtis A. Maybee

I Cry Inside

© SRN
I cry inside for my grandbabies;
they have lost their loved one;
their daddy - a man unlike no other.

I have to be strong; I have to make do;
I can't let on that my heart aches in sorrow for them
knowing they will never be with him again.

Never again will he hold them;
never again will he talk to them;
never again will he feed them;
never again will he play with them.

I have to keep on a smile;
I have to keep on top of things;
I have to keep assuring them that their dad's
an angel up in heaven.

I can tell they miss him terribly;
always asking questions;
And at times I feel angry with him for leaving these precious babies.

I can see his goofy grin on their faces,
I can see his brown hair on their heads.
If only they knew how much of them is so much like the man they dearly miss.

When they get old enough,
I will have to tell them.
In the meantime, I will hold them and talk to them and feed them and play with them.

I love my two little grandbabies that look a lot like their dad.
