Humorous Poem
I worked in laboratories for many years as a research scientist and I heard many jokes about lab researchers like me, so I decided to have a little fun with it. Hey, it's not true! There are exceptions!
Field Of Nerds

Ken Miller
See the chemists in white smocks,
Brown pants, black shoes and white socks.
They roam the lab in humpbacked herds,
A mumbling, bumbling field of nerds.
With vision great but eyesight poor,
They stop to squint through the lab hood door
In search of everlasting fame
Above the Bunsen Burner's flame.
They watch with patience through the days
As tests are run in random ways.
And when their undertaking fails,
They pause and sniff their fingernails.
Brown pants, black shoes and white socks.
They roam the lab in humpbacked herds,
A mumbling, bumbling field of nerds.
With vision great but eyesight poor,
They stop to squint through the lab hood door
In search of everlasting fame
Above the Bunsen Burner's flame.
They watch with patience through the days
As tests are run in random ways.
And when their undertaking fails,
They pause and sniff their fingernails.
