Death of a Friend Poem

I would like to dedicate this poem to my friend who has been diagnosed with a non-treatable tumor. Who has only two more months to live.

Final Goodbye

© Sarah Bonzwell
I miss you already
though your still here
I lay awake every night
Thinking how dear,
Our friendship has lasted
for many, many years
I'll never forget you
My friend and for all,
how much that I care for you
the amount is too tall

When the day Dr. Death arrived at your doorstep
I realized this could be the end
Your awake days are ticking, faster than an ahead time clock.
It's too hard for me to talk, that your deadline's in 52 days or less.
My good friend my friend may your sweet heart be blessed.

Though It may hard to think it, the memories not lost.
Now your end it is nearing so now I shall say my Final Goodbye.
For now and forever.
