A girl thanks her mother for sacrificing her own hopes and dreams to help fulfill her children's'.

Mother

© Candice M. Stebbins
For all the things you have done
Every morning rose the sun.
Off to work you would go.
At home love to us you show.

For all the sacrifices you have made
Keeping us warm when you were in the shade.
So many things I have put you through
So many things I wish I could undo.

To you I owe my life
for you have sacrificed
all your dreams and hopes
to help me fly and be my support rope.

Without you I wouldn't know what to do
But this I know is absolutely true
Mother, Mom, Ma I love you

  • This poem is beautiful.
I have not been blessed with the gift of being able to express my feelings through writing but you, I can see have been very blessed.
Thank you for this poem. The words of emotion you have written describes, almost to an exact, of the feelings I had and still do have for my Grandmother.
    What a wonderful poem.
