Grandfather Death Poem

Grandpa

This poem was written 2 days before my grandpa passed. He wanted to die around his family, but that didn't happen. It was 5 days before Christmas, and it is hard to look at this poem. Tears are still streaming since 12-20-2007. I love you, Papaw Albert Riggle.

My Future Angel

The time will come when
you need to go home.
I'll be okay because you'll be
my future angel.

Watching me from heaven's floor
helping me though life
with memories coming to mind
about all the good times.

Though pain was rough
I know when you take that
trip to heaven you'll be
my future angel.

You've made life happy for me,
making me smile when I want to cry.
You've lived life well,
so I'm happy anyways.

I'll say that you're an amazing
grandpa to have.
You're like a best friend and
my future angel.
