Missing You Poem

A woman writes of her brothers death.

In Heaven

© Jenna E. Stover

You lay in the hospital with so many fears.
Your family is watching, many in tears.
You mumble softly, and turn your head.
Your wife is right by your side, you kiss her warm cheek.
You remember your daughters very words, I love you daddy sealed with a kiss. She is only 2 years old,
Everything he will miss.
His heart beats slower, missing a beat..
slower..
slower...
He sees the pleasant rays ahead, and walks into the light.
He brought his memories with him, and left his pain into the night.
He now is watching over me,
Even though I do not see.
I love my brother with all my heart,
Somehow I knew he was special, from the very start.
