Grandmother Poem

A girl remembers fond memories of her grandmother who has passed away.

In Memory

© Lashell M. Trabeaux
In my heart I carry a prayer of a love, a love so deep

This Poem is in memory of past years.
I miss the way you held my hand,

Remember when we went fishing, I fell in and I was so scared.

I was climbing Pear trees, and swimming under bridges in river streams.

I miss the way we stayed up all night catching lighting bugs
Now that was a sight!

You were a woman bold, and brave
You were a woman of integrity, and dreams.

I remember all sorts of things that we did together.

But, most of all I remember the happiness you would bring.

In memory of grandmother,
My love for you will never change.
