Love Poem by Teens

Poem About Excitement Of New Love

I wrote this poem about a romantic interest of mine. The way the poem is structured reminds me of our relationship. Slow but fast, butterflies-in-the-stomach. This is one of my favorite poems I've written, and I'm very proud to call it my own. I hope you enjoy it!

Just Feeling

Mixed signals,
Intertwined fingers,
Firm, dark skin
and smooth, creamy skin.

A look, a laugh,
feelings linger in the air.
A soft caress, a simple touch,
and suddenly,
I'm in another world.
Oblivious to everything

Not thinking,
Just feeling.

Deep brown eyes,
hands clasped around mine.
Bittersweet goodbyes
reminding me of fireflies.

Knowing but not knowing,
showing and glowing.
Surrendering to the moment.

Not thinking,
Just feeling.
