Kaleidoscope Eyes

Kindred spirits, dancing at night,
wisps of smoke in the soft moonlight.

Stars so small, but brilliant and bright,
universe intent on making things right.

Songs that promise a heart so strong,
asking, "How can this be wrong?"

Morning dawns, wakes what's mine,
clouds shift and lift, reveal sunshine.

Quiet like a pond, deep as the sea,
with kaleidoscope eyes you look at me.
