Son Poem
A poem for my son - I hope he soon sees the light!
Let Go And Let It Be

Rejoice, be glad
For now… you’ve been set free
Think about your future
Let go and let it be
Take a scale and measure
The happy times and sad
You will see the good things
Weigh much less than the bad
Stop and think how honest
And true you always were
Count the times that you deceived
Guess what – there are none there!
Think about the happiness
That you so often missed
You were nothing but her puppet
I think I’d be pi**end!
You’re handsome...un-restricted
And can do what you please
You do not have to keep a diary
Of your every cough and sneeze
You owe no explanations
Let the truth be told
Find yourself somebody good
That you can touch and hold
The one that you were true to
Pulled your strings for years
Don’t let her rule long distance
Ignore her shallow tears!
For now… you’ve been set free
Think about your future
Let go and let it be
Take a scale and measure
The happy times and sad
You will see the good things
Weigh much less than the bad
Stop and think how honest
And true you always were
Count the times that you deceived
Guess what – there are none there!
Think about the happiness
That you so often missed
You were nothing but her puppet
I think I’d be pi**end!
You’re handsome...un-restricted
And can do what you please
You do not have to keep a diary
Of your every cough and sneeze
You owe no explanations
Let the truth be told
Find yourself somebody good
That you can touch and hold
The one that you were true to
Pulled your strings for years
Don’t let her rule long distance
Ignore her shallow tears!
