Like A Cannonball

Like a parachute,
You save me from the fall.
I keep falling for you,
Like a cannonball.

Oh, what would I be without you?
I will never let you down.
Tell me what you want me to do.
I'll be a listener, a clown.

You are someone unique.
I feel warm inside.
You make my heart weak.
It wants to go and hide.

Not because you harm it,
But because it is afraid.
It will melt and be hit
By your love and the words said.

But I let it out to you,
Because some people ARE worth melting for.
You show me a relation true,
Happiness and craziness more.

Best friend is a small term.
You are worth much more.
Our relation is a long one.
You help me swim ashore.

I can't even express.
How much I treasure you.
You define happiness.
You are my minion and I'm Gru.

We are infinite.
Happiness, craziness, care
Is all we have outright.
Just be sad, I dare!

Like the trees keep losing
Their leaves every fall,
I keep falling for you,
Like a cannonball.
