A gun can kill,
fire can burn,
Wind can chill,
and the mind can learn,
Anger can rage
'til it tears you apart,
But the power of your smile
can mend a broken heart.

This poem is based on lyrics from Tupac Amaru Shakur (1971 - 1996) , also known by his stage names 2Pac. He was an American rapper, songwriter, and actor.
Here are the original lyrics from the song titled, "Power Of A Smile":
"The power of a gun can kill,
and the power of fire can burn
The power of wind can chill,

Hi, this poem is so real to me. I've seen a smile mend my own frozen, broken heart. I hated myself because of the things that have happened to me. I would even hate the piece of myself in the mirror. I even started to hate taking selfies. I was so cruel to myself, but the other day I was looking in the same mirror and decided to smile. Oh guess what. From there, I said to myself let me just add the little smile to my face. Till now I love me. Problems are still unsolved, but a smile shines on my face always.
