Anger Poem about Love

This poem was written to express how I felt. My life had been shattered by a hot tempered man once again.

Love Hurts

He pulls my hair
He slaps my face
He throws me on the floor
He chokes me

I spit blood out of my mouth
Everything hurts
& all I can do is cry

I made him mad
So this is what he does
I wish I knew his reason why

He says he's sorry
He grabs me and tries to hold me
But I push away.
That makes him more mad

I see a fist coming toward me
So I duck n scream for help.
He takes off and leaves me there in pain.

I don't know what to do anymore, except cry.
I want to be happy...
To be loved....
To be treated like a person.

I feel so alone
My life had been shattered by a hot tempered man once again.
Who could I turn to, who'd understand?
I just need to learn how to love me and face my fears.

  • Wonderful poem! I have been there more than once and it is so devastating that a man we love and trust can hurt us so. I understand!

  • have been there myself. My ex husband is in jail right now because he would beat me all the time. What scares me the most is I still have love for him but can't ever let him back in my life.
