Courage Poem
I wrote this remembering that my father and grandfather both sexually abused me and I realized that I could move on.

Memories, memories
I have had
some were good though most were bad
physical and sexual abuse occurred
And madness and sadness reoccurred
I feel as though I'm on display as CARLEY the messed up school girl here to stay
but they will never know
how I will grow
and be someone some day
so look at me in dismay
and you discourage me for the last time today.
