Poem About The One Who Got Away

Hi, I was a teenager in love when I wrote this. I wrote a lot of poems. It helped get that emotion out. Not everyone we fall in love with is meant to stay. I have 2 kids and a loving boyfriend. I wouldn't change a thing. I'm very blessed, thank the Lord. But the first time I fell in love is always deep within.

or a rose without petals.

Every time I think of you
My days grow shorter,
My heart gets weaker,
and my love grows stronger.

I had a dream that everything was perfect,
But then I realized nothing is the same.
