Baby Poem

My First Born Son

A mother talks of the new spirit of life her baby boy has bestowed upon her.

My Zacharia

© Katrina S. Dahm
Nine long months of waiting
Carrying you under my heart
Wondering what you'll look like
From the first kick to the first cry
When you came into the world, I looked
into your beautiful blue eyes
And I just knew you were
My Zacharia
Watching you grow every day
Knowing one day you'll say mama
One day you'll walk and say I love you
Fills my heart with such joy
My Zacharia
You changed me for the better
I never knew I could love someone so much
You're a big part of who I am
My first born son, my little prince charming
My Zacharia
