Lost Friend Poem
This is about a friend of mine I've had for a few years, until just recently. He does not talk to me anymore because he thinks I'm not good enough. All I ever did was love him.
The Truth

You cut me real deep
When you left me alone
No thoughts of me you'll keep
Your heart is made of stone
You go your way
And I'll go mine
I wish you would stay
I will not make the same mistake next time
I cry throughout the long harsh nights
My soul starts to decay
The chilling night air bites
Now I am wasted away
I cry out with every fiber of my being
Your stare hits me like an icy blast
Since you do not care and are unseeing
I am now just part of the past
When you left me alone
No thoughts of me you'll keep
Your heart is made of stone
You go your way
And I'll go mine
I wish you would stay
I will not make the same mistake next time
I cry throughout the long harsh nights
My soul starts to decay
The chilling night air bites
Now I am wasted away
I cry out with every fiber of my being
Your stare hits me like an icy blast
Since you do not care and are unseeing
I am now just part of the past
