Compassion Poem
This is dedicated to my dad who is no longer with me, some words needed to be said as I made my journey into adulthood, not everything is forgotten but some has passed.

Many years have now gone by
with the anger I had inside,
I often wondered what went wrong
you so angry for so long,
Father's Day will soon arrive
another year I hope you'll try,
to make amends for all your lies
the many questions we wonder why,
yours sins were always criticized
now the years have passed you by,
patient understanding as we tie
the family together to realize,
how important is compromise
when your children see you cry,
Father's Day has now arrived
another year I now know why.
with the anger I had inside,
I often wondered what went wrong
you so angry for so long,
Father's Day will soon arrive
another year I hope you'll try,
to make amends for all your lies
the many questions we wonder why,
yours sins were always criticized
now the years have passed you by,
patient understanding as we tie
the family together to realize,
how important is compromise
when your children see you cry,
Father's Day has now arrived
another year I now know why.
