Grandmother Poem

Profile of Grandma

My Grandma

© Bridget A. Miller
The way it smells when she cooks.
When you're bad, the way she looks.
How she would do anything to help a friend.
The way she'll stick by you until the end.
She's one of the nicest people you'll ever meet.
Unless you get on her bad side, then you're in for a treat.
The way she'll cheer you up when you're down.
And how she helps you to turn your frown.
The way she jokes and laughs with me,
Her soul so kind, so sweet, so free.
She inspires me in different ways everyday.
My grandma is wonderful in every way.

  • That is a beautiful poem, and so true!! I hold my grandchildren close to my heart. (and they know that) I have a grandson, and also a granddaughter (my ANGEL) and she knows it to. My daughter and my son-in-law live with grandpa and grandma, and my granddaughter just has to see me and right away she holds out her arms out for me to pick her up, because she knows grandma will. Grandma will do anything for my grandchildren, and they know that. I will climb up to the sky and give them the moon if that's what they wanted it. I didn't know that there was a grandparents day, but that is one day, grandpa and grandma are going to celebrate!! Thanks for the heads up!!

  • Today is my mamaw's birthday and I called to read it to her and she started crying saying it was the most beautiful thing she has ever heard.
