Sympathy Poem

Sympathy For A Miscarriage Poem

I wrote this poem for a friend whose younger sibling died before birth a long while back. He said he always knew it would be a girl because he'd always wanted a sister. This is for the both of them.

A scar on the soul
Never to be seen
A light in the tunnel
Please return to me

And when we meet
After the dark
You'll be there
To complete my heart

An ugly truth
But one so real
Few understand
Just how I feel

So until the day
We finally meet
I will continue
Without defeat

And when I see you
After I rise
I will come to see
You were always alive
