Father Poem

The Special Bond Between Father And Daughter

The poem is about a father's love for his daughter. He was always her pillar of strength whenever she needed him. Now when it's time for her to go start a new life, she sees that he may need her as much as she needs him. He tries to fight off being weak in front of her, but when she's finally ready to fly, she finally sees tears in her daddy's eyes.

Tears In My Daddy's Eyes

He was always my pillar when I knew I'd fall,
Always my anchor so strong and tall.
His hard face changes only for me.
His softer side, so careless and free.
He knows my dreams are too big for this place.
His little girl's leaving, ready to begin her race.
He knows I'll be thinking of him wherever I go.
I know I'm ready to do this on my own,
But still I cry and he holds me tight,
He tries to be strong, not a tear in sight.
I'm ready to reach for the stars in the sky.
He's ready to watch his princess fly.
It's time to let go, sure of a path to take,
But now I know, even pillars can break.
For when I drive away, trying to stifle my cries,
All I could see were tears in my father's eyes.

I just got so emotional after reading this poem. I love my dad a lot. I want to fulfill his dreams. He always makes me happy, and he always does hard work for us. He never shows his weakness in front me. He always keeps smiling. He is tough, but I know he is soft on the inside. He scarifies for us. He is my superhero. A real superhero. I know he is always here for me to support me. No matter what, he never leaves me, and he can't stand to see me sad. He is my supporter. He always encourages me. I still have to study hard. I still have to do so many things for him, and I know she will support me forever. I know when I need him he will always come for me. I love my dad. One day I will make you smile, Dad. I will make you proud of me. I love you, papa.

This poem describes exactly how I felt when I left home for university, my father is a tough man but I bring out his soft side. He had gone on a hunting trip but he cut it short just to see me off. I love him to bits. I am soooooo blessed to have him as my dad. I pray that more men become responsible fathers and give their children the gift of a loving dad.
