The Cure

Your beauty overwhelmed me
Your face was gentle, your smile sweet
Your voice was soft, it was hard to hear
So come a little closer and whisper in my ear.

Tell me all the things
That make you who you are
Tell me what makes you what I see
'Cause that is everything I want to be.

How is your soul so warm
In a world that is so cold,
Tell me what it is you do
'Cause I want to be just like you.

Tell me how your smile
Resembles that of every star in the sky
Tell me what it is that glistens in your eye
That makes the hate in my heart fade and die

After finally meeting you
I had a change of mind
You're no longer what I want to be,
Being you is not going to help me.

But with your touch and with your smile you can fill the hole
If you hold my hand and kiss my lips, you can cure my soul.
