This is a story about a girl I met and kept running into until I asked her out. We had a great night doing nothing in particular, just looking at the stars. It was one of the best nights, and nothing came of it.

I saw the stars that shine
When I looked into your eyes.
I felt the pain inside
When your head was next to mine.
Come tomorrow I'll be able
To love you in your dreams,
So when you're next to him
I hope you'll think of me.
Will you remember the pleasure
When you look upon the stars?
Go back to the night
You laid your head upon my heart.
Tell your kids a story
Of a love that couldn't be,
And I'll tell mine a tale
Of what you meant to me.

I met this girl on Instagram. We started talking, and she told me she had a boyfriend. Somehow I knew she needed a friend. She told that her boyfriend never talks to her at all, so I sat there and chatted with her for three hours straight. I asked her to let me be that guy. I wrote a few poems, and she told she was falling for me, and I told her I was too. She told me that she loved me, and I wrote it back to her, and we talked about how love can be invisible for some people, and I called her princess. We talked until she went to a football game and her boyfriend came up to her and said it is over. She told me that, and I said I was sorry if was my fault, and she replied, "No, it's not." Now she won't even talk to me. Love is real, and sometimes it can be invisible.
