Poem About Child Touching A Mother's Heart

My name is Krista Castle, a new mother of a beautiful baby boy who just turned ten months old. Oh my, how fast the time goes by. Being a mother has changed my life in so many ways. He really brings out the best in me. As many other mothers know, being a mother is the best thing you can be called. And behind my poem speaks of things that seldom can be described into words, but only felt in the heart. But somehow I found the words to express how a child can touch your heart.

To Be A Mother

When I gave life unto you, my son
You gave life unto me
For when they placed you in my arms
I knew my life was complete

Just the littlest features
And a tiny beating heart
I now hold in my loving arms
For to never be apart

And now as you are growing so fast
And changing every day
I fall in love even more
More than words could ever say

When you look over at me and smile
I can't help but wear a grin
Not only are you my beautiful son
I also gained a friend
