To My Son-In-Law

In one more day
you'll take my oldest to be your wife.
I need you to know I've been praying
for you all of her life.

That God prepare you to be the man
to love and cherish her the best you can.

To stand up to her when the time is right
And to love her through when the world is not so bright.

To tell her your desires and needs
so that she can become a godly wife indeed.

To love the Lord with all your heart
so that together, the two of you can be a part

Of something much bigger than yourselves,

A part of a miracle called a marriage.
