True Love Poem

This is a sonnet I wrote for my husband. I do not know who he will be, I do not know what he will be like. I wrote this this year in high school as a senior.. I got an A, but that is only because this poem really speaks my thoughts about my husband, and what a 17 year old girl would think. I hope you enjoy it, I write many poems but I think this is one of my best :)

To Whoever My Husband Will Be

© Esther Laflamme
I don’t really know what to say
But I think I will when I look into your eyes.
For now all I can do is pray
That the decision I make is wise

Like a little girl wining first prize,
I know our vows will be true
Because when I see what our future ahead lies
It’ll will be a love refreshed, stronger and new

My best friend forever
I cannot wait for those days
After all the times we’ll have been through,
I will finally know it is not just a phase.

And even when our time is done and we are gone and have perished
There will be always be our precious memories, never to be forgotten, forever to cherish.
