I Promise I Will Never Leave You Poem

I wrote this poem because I've been thinking of my boyfriend nonstop, and we promised each other we would never leave, that we would be together forever. We're almost together for eight months now and I haven't seen him in two weeks, so I wrote him this poem to make him smile. I just wanted to let him know I love him.

This is us,
Never alone.
We have each other.
Whether in the same room
Or by phone,
You will always be there.
I know you'll never leave,
And there's one thing I know.
This is the truth.
We will be together
Until forever dies.

Because I'm yours,
And you're mine.
Listening to your heart,
A rhythm so fine.
So much comfort,
So much love.
With only you I feel this,
Not any other boy
Can I love so much.
We will be together
Until forever dies.

Because we're in love,
As everyone can see.
Never a broken heart,
Never a tear cried.
You can hold me in your arms,
And I'll hold you in mine.
We will never let go,
Until the end of time,
'Cause I will never leave you,
And you won't leave me.
We will be together
Until forever dies.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a little over a year and a half. For a high school relationship, nothing has felt more right. I love him so much and wouldn't know what to do without him. We always promise to be together for "forever and always" and this poem really reminds me of him and us.

Yes the poem touched me very much. I married my high school sweetheart. We met and started going steady in the summer before my sophomore year and his senior year in high school. We went steady for three years before we got married May 3,1963 and we were married 47 years as of May 3, 2010. He died May 18, 2010. The poem was very descriptive of our relationship. I thank the person who wrote this poem.
