Wife Poem

A wife bemoans lost love and the joy of Valentine's Day passed.

Valentines Day

© Melissa D. Campbell
Valentines Day comes once a year,
I’m only wishing you could be here.
To be able to spend time together,
holding hands in this rainy weather.
Walking along the beach and sand,
now I wonder where we stand.
Because you are the only one to blame,
next year will never be the same.
My heart, my soul, my hopes, my dreams,
you are my everything.
Our love so dear and true,
that’s why this special day is for you.
Then you brought happiness to my life,
when you asked me to be your wife.
The tears of joy running down my face,
It’s all I can give in God’s Grace.
