Poem About Stars And Love

I would have never thought this stranger sitting across from me would one day mean so much to me. Nobody would have thought we would be so close because of how different we were. But it was the differences that made us need each other. This person wasn't just another person anymore. They're now my everything.

You Are Not Just A Star

You were just another star in the sky
that happened to be in my universe

Never in a million years would we get close
at least that's what scientists thought

You give me warmth when I'm cold
without you I wouldn't be the same

You give me oxygen
making it easier to breathe

You give me color and life
flowers bloom and hearts are beating every day because of you

You give me enough energy to keep on going
without you I would hopelessly come to a stop

You keep me in my orbit
without you I'd be a reckless meteor not knowing which direction to take

When you hide behind clouds
I'm gloomy
but when you come out from the clouds and shine
you always seem to brighten up my day

Never in a million years would I have thought to need a star
but you're not just a star
you are the Sun
and I'm... I'm just Earth
