I Love You Poems by Teens

What does it mean to love someone? When you really love someone, it is more than just a passing feeling. True love means caring about someone more than you care about yourself. It means putting their happiness ahead of your own. It means going to sleep and waking up thinking about them. That kind of special feeling deserves to be recognized. If you feel it in your heart for someone you are in a relationship with, be sure to tell them, "I love you" as often as possible. You'll be glad you did when they return those special words to you.

Poem About Not Being Loved In Return
  • By Sarah
I Love You

You have to know,
I mean, you must know,
How much I love you,
How much I care about you.

I tell you every day,
Yet you never reply when I say it.
I am truly in love with you,
But are you in love with me?

Every time we're together
I hope that you will make a move,
But all you do is sit there,
Chatting with your friends.

You used to tell me how much you loved me,
How much you cared,
But now I feel like nothing,
Like you don't care.

I can tell that you love me.
I see it in your eyes,
But you try to deny it,
You try not to show it.
May I ask why?

When we were together,
It seemed so perfect,
Like nothing could go wrong.

I wonder what I did to deserve this,
To make you ignore me,
Because all I want to do is cry.

You said you would never hurt me.
You even gave me a ring.
Then three days later
You said you had to leave.

You broke up with me.
You broke my heart into a million pieces,
And now I see you with her,
Only a month after you broke my heart.

I wanted to die.
I wanted to kill her,
But all I can do is tell you the truth,
And that's how I really feel.

So here it is,
I love you.
I'm in love with you,
And I just hope you never forget me.
