We don't want to let go of our loved ones even when it's time.

Grandpa I Love You

©  Keali B. Wilbur

Grandpa I love you and I always will.
It makes me so sad to see you so sick,
I wonder why you were god's pick?
maybe because you were such a good man
Or maybe because he has his own little plan.
whatever it is it's hard to see you this way,
Do you remember when we used to play?
Or when we used to sit and talk all day?
I don't know what I'll do without you, or if I will ever get by.
Everybody tells me its going to happen sooner
or later I don't want to have to say good-bye.
I know that you will be a lot happier and a lot less confused,
But when it comes time for me to say my last good-bye, I will think to myself and remember that god has a plan and everything will work out in the end.
I just want you to know that I will love you forever and always.
